Experts Discuss Clean Fuel Development for Cars

A seminar on how to develop clean fuel for environment-friendly cars was held in Beijing Friday. Over 400 experts and scholars attended the seminar.

"To save energy, use clean fuel, increase the quality of the fuel and reduce the exhaust pollution will be the major tasks for oil refineries in the 21st century," said Li Dadong, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

He said as China's car industry developed rapidly, the car exhausted gas has polluted the environment.

The Chinese government has organized a team to tackle the enviroment-friendly cars. Since last year, China has begun to use the lead-free oil and implemented the new standard for car emission to meet the international requirements.

The forum focused on topics such as the development of the car industry and clean fuel technology.
