Six weeks after two hijacked passenger planes hit and toppled the World Trade Center (WTC) here, the number of those reported missing dropped to 4,339, city officials said on Tuesday.

Workers at the site where the twin 110-story towers of the WTC fell due to the terrorist attacks on September 11 have recovered a total of 478 bodies, with 425 of them identified.
