China on E-APEC Fast Business Track

E-APEC business card holders given free access to 12 APEC economies.

In the near future, ranking managerial personnel of large Chinese companies with an e-APEC business card in hand will be provided free access to 12 APEC economies, to be exempted from a series of troubles as application of visa.

A fact behind this is that China has lately joined in the e-APEC business card plan. Initiated by Australia, the e-APEC business card plan has entered into force since 1999. It has simplified various procedures demanded on business personnel under the framework of APEC economies and various costs involved will accordingly be cut in contributing to a fast response to business opportunities and a raise of the competitive edge for international business. Owing to the fact that every applicant must be subjected first and foremost to strict inspection every economic entity will be placed at a high level of safety. In the meantime, great convenience will be provided for every e-APEC-card holder to go about short-term inter-APEC business errand over a 3-year period of validity.

E-APEC-card holders are found for the most part in Australia, Chile, Hong Kong, ROK, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei and Peru in addition to China's Taibei among the 12 APEC member economies.
