China and Russia Jointly Develop Website

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) of China Monday held a ceremony to mark the launching of a website jointly sponsored by China and Russia, and to invite public bidding for a website translation project.

Gao Hucheng, assistant minister of MOFTEC, attended the ceremony.

He said that China and Russia are complementary to each other in terms of trade and economic cooperation, thus joint efforts should be made to launch a website for further economic cooperation.

According to him, the website is aimed at strengthening Sino- Russian economic cooperation, and promoting direct contacts between the large manufacturing and trading enterprises on the two sides.

At present, the project is building two data banks of Chinese and Russian enterprises, which will provide information services in both Chinese and Russian.

The translation project is to help translate business information for the website. Enditem
