and his wife Wang Yeping Monday met with all the people working for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders Meeting, which ended in
Shanghai
Sunday.
Jiang said the APEC meeting held in Shanghai was a large international event hosted by China in the new century. The meeting won unanimous praise from all the participants. This was due to the concerted efforts of all the people working for the event, he noted.
Jiang highly praised the spirit of being the master of the country displayed by Shanghai's citizens and the great contributions they made for the occasion.
The success of the meeting also indicates that China has raised its economic strength and increased its influence in the world, he said.
