Bush Scheduled to Meet Four APEC Leaders

U.S. President George W. Bush is scheduled to meet Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and Peru's President Alejandro Toledo on Saturday.

The five leaders are here to attend the 9th informal meetings of leaders from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation member economies which is to open on Saturday and conclude on Sunday.

Bush is trying to use this opportunity to obtain support for the U.S. campaign against terrorism, including the military operations in Afghanistan.
