The suspected traffickers fled overseas, the police said. Yunnan, neighboring the notorious "Golden Triangle" area, has been used as a major passage for drug trafficking by international drug dealers. The Yunnan Frontier Defense Bureau has uncovered 67 drug cases in the first half of the year, involving 25 kilograms of heroin, which the traffickers hid in their body cavities. The Chinese government has been taking an active part in international cooperation on controlling narcotics and seen measurable success.
