APEC CTI Issued 2001 Report

The Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI) of APEC has submitted the "2001 Report" to the 13th APEC Ministerial Meeting held in Shanghai on October 17.

The 2001 Report summarizes the development and concrete achievements made in many fields by APEC in almost one year of the past. For instance, it has improved the APEC Unilateral Action Plan so as to better reflect promises of APEC members on enlarging freedom of trade and investment; rectified the Osaka Action Agenda (OAA); established a set of guidelines on trade for supporting World Trade Organization on developing talent resources and making things easier for commercial activities of businessmen and the like.

Established in November 1993, the Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI) is an organization subordinated to the APEC for coordinating efforts to achieve the Bogor goals of free and open trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region.
