The meeting collected 86 papers and invited well-known academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences.

Some renowned experts were invited to give lectures, including Yu-Chi Ho, professor of applied mathematics and system engineering from Harvard University, Benjamin W.
