The Seventh Sino-French seminar on reform of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and agriculture opened Thursday in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Zou Jiahua, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the China's National People's Congress (NPC), attended the opening ceremony and met with Jacques Dermagne, chairman of the Economic and Social Council of France.
The Chinese and French experts will exchange experience on the reform and management of their SOEs, and review the two countries' agricultural development.
The seminar, jointly organized by the Chinese NPC Standing Committee and the Economic and Social Council of France, has become an annual event held alternately in China and France since it was launched in 1995.
