Canada to Announce Multimedia Initiative for Capacity Building: Minister
Canada
will announce a multimedia initiative at the forthcoming APEC informal economic leaders' meeting, Canadian Minister for International Trade Pierre Pettigrew said here on Wednesday.
The five-year plan will be announced by Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, who will come to
Shanghai
to attend the two-day APEC meeting slated for October 20-21, Pettigrew told Chinese reporters.
The plan is designed as an individual action plan by Canada to promote human capacity building.
The Canadian minister declined to go into the details of the Canadian plan.
