Next Year Will See Major Reform Carried Out at Guangzhou Fair

From next year, big reform is to be introduced to divide each of the annual two events of Guangzhou Fair into two periods, as known from the ongoing 90th Chinese Export Commodities Fair (Guangzhou Fair).

This is to divide the current 12 exhibiting days into two periods with categorized commodities on display. Concrete plans are now under discussion by trade groups and commerce chambers, says Wang Hui, director of development department of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC).

Since 1957 the Guangzhou Fair has been expanded in scale and influence through many times of reforms, the contracted value standing for about one third of China's general exports and known as "the best exposition in China".
