The room in a quiet corner of the bustling media center is marked "Praying Room" on its door. Exact hours for prayers in October are given in a timetable written in both Chinese and Arabic. The room is about 10 square meters in size and floored with a green carpet. The two dark green cushions in the room are directed towards the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, according to an imam with the Shanghai Pudong Mosque. |
