Majority of Chinese Expect Higher IncomeAbout 28.6 percent of Chinese urban dwellers are satisfied with their income, but 37.7 percent say they don't make enough money, according to a recent national survey.Asked to name the main factors that determine what one's income should be, 34 percent listed personal ability or skills. About 20 percent said income should be based on the economic prosperity of individual work units. Finance, high-tech and commerce are the most desirable professions in the minds of urban residents followed by real estate, service trade and education. Over 93 percent of people surveyed said they expected their income to rise eventually. More than 69 percent believed their income will be increased in the next three to five years. |
