Kabul Under Fresh Attack

The Afghan capital of Kabul is under new attacks again Monday morning, as the US-led air strikes entered the second week.

According reports reaching here from Kabul, US planes appeared over the city after dawn, at around 6:15 a.m. One witness said that he heard an explosion and shrapnel landed on residential houses.

The US-led air strikes began on October 7 with the aim to flush out Osama bin Laden, who was pinned down as the prime suspect in the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, and destroy the alleged terrorist network in Afghanistan.
