100 Overseas Chinese Students Attend Development Forum in East China

A special forum for 100 overseas Chinese students was held Sunday in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.

With the theme of "Development of Zhejiang in the New Century", the forum was organized for the 100 Zhejiang-born overseas doctorate students to discuss how to boost the local economic development in their homeland.

The students discussed how to accelerate the development of local hi-tech industries and private enterprises, introduce more advanced personnel, and improve the environment for overseas students to start undertakings.

As one of the richest provinces in China, Zhejiang last year reported over 600 billion yuan (about 72 billion U.S. dollars) in GDP.

The students will tour the province and conduct a series of investigations and researches.
