US Missiles Hit Civilians in Jalalabad

US-led airstrikes hit residential areas and killed civilians in areas in and around Jalalabad, northern Afghanistan, according to news reports from Kabul Sunday.

The Taliban of Afghanistan conducted a tour for the international journalists of the city and nearby areas. The journalists were shown residential sites damaged by US bombs. They were also led to visit injured civilians lying in hospitals. Visiting journalists said US-led airstrikes dropped heavy bombs and missiles on Jalalabad and rocked the area by powerful explosions.

The Pentagon admitted Sunday that this was the second astray U. S. bombing of Afghanistan since Sunday when it started military campaign in pursuing Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect of 9.11 terror attacks in the United States.

On October 8, US cruise missiles killed four civilians when they plunged into the office of Afghan Technical Consultancy (ATC) in Kabul.
