EU-Chinese Managers Training Program Progressing Smoothly

Thirty-three entrepreneurs from 11 European Union countries are participating in the EU-Chinese Junior Managers Training Program's fourth term, which was launched in September.

"The program is progressing smoothly," said Klaus Ebermann, head of the European Union Delegation of the European Commission here Friday.

During a reception to welcome the recipients of the program, Klaus said he hopes that the program will develop.

Sources said that the managers will spend 11 to 15 months learning the social and economic situation of the country and promoting commercial exchanges between China and the European countries.

According to the agenda, the trainees will take part in some seminars, hold discussions with the Chinese officials, and visit some Chinese companies.

This program was initiated in 1999 by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) and the European Union Delegation of the European Commission. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will carry out the program.
