Chinese Scientists Complete Rice Genome Sequencing
Chinese scientists have completed sequencing of hybrid rice genome, Vice President of the
Chinese Academy of Sciences
(CAS) Chen Zhu said on Friday.
The genome framework covers more than 95 percent of rice genes, said Chen, who is a specialist in gene research.
Worldwide scientists and academic organizations could have free access to the framework and its database collected by the Chinese experts, Chen said.
