Bush Vows to Use Every Means to Win War on Terrorism

US President George W. Bush on Thursday pledged the United States will use "every resource, every weapon, every means necessary" to win a worldwide war against terrorism.

In a keynote speech at a Pentagon memorial service, one month after an airliner hijacked by terrorists crashed and killed 189 people at the military complex, Bush said the al Qaeda and terrorists around the world "will be isolated, surrounded, cornered until there is no place to run or hide or rest."

Al Qaeda is an global network led by Osama bin laden, a Saudi fugitive who was accused of masterminding the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington on September 11.
