Northeast China Province Destroys 1,700 Tons of Imported Mildewy Soybeans

Officers at the entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau of Liaoning Province, northeast China, have destroyed over 1,700 tons of mildewy soybeans imported from Argentina and Brazil.

An official with the bureau said that the mildewy soybeans were discovered on July 29 and August 9 respectively while the officers were inspecting the 100,000 tons of soybeans on two cargo ships from the two countries.

The soybeans were buried deep in the earth according to related inspection and quarantine regulations, the official said. Enditem
