French Air Force Might Join US Strikes, Says Defense Ministry

The military participation of France into the United States operation in Afghanistan might be of an "air contribution," French Defense Ministry announced Thursday.

Jean-Francois Bureau, spokesman of the ministry made this remark at the weekly conference. "Nothing has been decided yet," he added.

When asked about the possibility of participation of French special forces, he answered: "Not at this moment. But nothing is excluded for the future."
