Cross-Straits Airlines to Talk About Direct Link
At the invitation of China's mainland related institutions, Taiwan "Cross-Straits Direct Airfreight Mission" will arrive in Beijing on October 11 to make a three-day visit and discussion on the issues of direct air transportation, air traffic precautions, etc.
The mission includes senior directors of the six largest airlines of Taiwan, namely Taiwan "China Airlines", EVA Airlines, Trans Asia Airways, Rar Eastern Air Transport, Mandarin Airlines and UNI Airlines. The discussion between the two sides of the Straits will focus on the issues of cross-Straits direct air transportation and related technology, aerial security and precautions and the measures to strengthen cross-Straits cooperation and strive for joint development.
At the news briefing held in Taipei prior to the departure Elmer Fung, "legislator" and the head of the mission said the coming conference will give a full discussion on the issues of common concerns for the civil aviation circles of both sides. It will be of great significance to promoting the "three links" across the Straits.
