Kuwait to Withdraw Nationality of Bin Laden's Kuwaiti Aide: FM

A senior Kuwaiti official said on Wednesday that his government will withdraw the nationality of a Kuwaiti citizen acting as spokesman for Osama bin Laden's Al- Qaeda organization.

Kuwaiti Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah told reporters that Suleyman Bugheith, whom Kuwait called " traitor" on Monday, was linked to the September 11 attacks in the US which left nearly 7,000 dead.

Sheikh Sabah, also foreign minister, denounced the terrorist actions of Bugheith, former prayer leader at a government mosque in Kuwait.

Bugheith was seen in a videotape of bin Laden released by the Qatar-based Arab satellite television station Al-Jazeera on Sunday.

On the tape, bin Laden, named by the US as the prime suspect of the attacks in the US, denounced US President George W. Bush as the "head of the infidels" and praised the September 11 terror attacks.

On Monday, Sheikh Sabah said that Bugheith does not represent Kuwaiti people and "is wanted to appear before court of justice."
