China and US to Hold Talks on Human Rights in Washtington
Official with the US State Department said Tuesday that China and the US would conduct bilateral talks on human rights in the following three days in Washington.
The talks would be held at the US State Department between the two sides with the US side headed by Lorne Craner, Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor and the Chinese side headed by Li Baodong, a director of
Chinese Foreign Ministry
.
It's the first negotiations on human rights between the two countries since mid-1999.
