A French National Arrested by Taliban Near Jalalabad, Afghanistan
A Frenchman national was arrested by the Taliban authorities Tuesday in Goshta village, 35 kilometers east from Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province in Afghanistan, according to a report by the Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).
The Frenchman national, disguised in a "Burqa" (full-length veil) was accompanied by two other persons who were also arrested by the Taliban forces.
No further details are available so far, said AIP.
Almost two weeks ago, a British newswoman from the London-based Sunday Express Yvonne Ridley was arrested by the Taliban authorities near Jalalabad, who was charged by the Taliban authorities with entering the country without any passport or visa.
