British Delegation Visits Shanghai
A British delegation of science led by Secretary of State for Science David Sainsbury visited
Shanghai
on Monday.
Sainsbury attended the opening ceremony in
Fudan University
for a floral biological technology research center jointly sponsored by Chinese and British universities, and delivered a speech on scientific invention and its influence on economic development in the China-Europe International Business School in Pudong New Area.
He also discussed issues of common concern in the field of scientific development and cooperation with Vice Mayor of Shanghai Yan Junqi.
The British delegation arrived in Shanghai on October 7. The delegation will also visit
Beijing
and Shenzhen.
