Classical Music Celebrates National Day in Hebei

In addition to traditional music and opera, modern symphonies and concerts are being presented to celebrate China's seven-day National Day holidays in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of north China's Hebei province.

Art troupes in the province have held performances of classical music which have attracted large audiences.

The city has also invited troupes and philharmonic societies from Brazil, Austria and other countries to join the festivities, giving local people the chance to enjoy world-famous performances.

The city's classical music celebration series started in mid- September and will last for about a month
