Oriental Art Center to Be Built in Pudong
An Oriental Art Center will be built in the Pudong New District of Shanghai.
The 40,000-square meter center will be used for staging musical performances and is expected to become a landmark building in the commercial district of Shanghai.
The project will cost about one billion yuan and cover a total area of 23,000 square meters.
A French company's design won the international bidding for the construction of the art center, which was contested by seven companies from China, the United States, Canada and Germany.
