Vice-Premier Meets Hong Kong Delegations

Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen met five delegations from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Saturday.

The delegations were made up of noted figures in the circles of journalism, industry and commerce, publishing, social welfare and information technology.

Qian said that the central government will continue to provide necessary support to HKSAR government to overcome its temporary difficulties.

He urged people from all walks of life in Hong Kong to make joint efforts to support HKSAR Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and HKSAR government, and to over difficulties with a joint efforts.
