CPC Senior Official Meets Cambodian GuestThe bilateral relations have developed very well, and have been consolidated over the past 40 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations, he said. Wei, member of the Standing Committee the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with Say Chhum, member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People's Party. Say Chhum extended the cordial regard of Cambodian leaders to Jiang Zemin, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, and he expressed congratulations on Beijing's successful bid to host the 2008 Olympics, China's admission to the World Trade Organization, the 80th anniversary of the CPC foundation and 52nd anniversary of the birth of New China. He said that the Cambodian people value greatly the friendly relations with China and expect that the bilateral ties will be further developed and consolidated.
