Top Advisory Body Ends Meeting in Beijing

Top Advisory Body Ends Meeting
The Standing Committee of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) ended its 15th meeting in Beijing Saturday.

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the top advisory body, presided over the final sitting of the meeting and delivered an important speech.

Li said that developing the party's style in the new era is an issue of vital importance and all the party members should serve the people whole-heartedly.

Li noted that the overall current situation of the party's style is good but some problems still exist. He said that leaders at different levels should set an example to others.

Li required that all the committees and members of CPPCC should study the report of the sixth plenum of the 15th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, held on September 24-26.

It is necessary to consider the report together with President Jiang's important speech on July 1 this year and make efforts to improve CPPCC work, said Li.

CPPCC National Committee vice-chairman Ye Xuanping also gave a speech at the final sitting.
