CPA to Halt HK-Pakistan Flight

Hong Kong Cathay Pacific Airways (CPA) decided on September 27 to halt Hong Kong-Pakistan flight for one month.

The company said that the flight to Karachi on September 28 was the last one, but the flight will possibly be resumed after October 28, 2001, said the company's spokesperson.

The company has six flights flying from Hong Kong to Karachi each week.

As for the major reason for the suspension, the spokesperson said in an interview with reporters that the company mainly considers the international economic recession and the declining of number of passenger.
