Foreign Experts Cited by Zhejiang
Twenty-eight foreign experts working in east China's Zhejiang Province were presented with West Lake Friendship Awards by the provincial government Friday.
Vice-Governor Wang Yongming issued the prizes to the foreign specialists at a ceremony in this provincial capital.
In his address, the vice-governor thanked the foreign friends for their contributions to local economic development and social progress.
Since 1997, the provincial government has issued the annual award to 118 overseas experts from a dozen countries, including the United States, Germany, Japan, Norway, France, Canada, the Republic of Korea and Malaysia.
An average of 2,200 overseas professionals work in this coastal province every year.
