Old City Turn on a New Look

Lijiang, an old city with more than 800 years of history in South China's Yunnan province, gives a brand-new look after getting a face-lift with an investment of RMB 100 million yuan, The city was listed in World Culture Heritage in December, 1997. Picture shows the symbolic buildings of the city, covering an area of 3 hectares, its total floor space being 10,000 square meters. Built by imitating the Forbidden City, it is therefore called "Forbidden City" in South China.

Lhasa, reputed as "Sun City", is still in green. So far, the city's green land acreage has reached 1300 hectare, and will continue to expand. The green-land has brought vital vigor and inexhaustible oxygen to the city.

Milk Industry in Heilongjiang Province in a Boom

In recent years, Heilongjiang province has vigorously developed its milk industry in its reclaimed areas. Wandashan Group Milk Stuff Co., Ltd, a famous factory in China, has 38 production lines with a daily production of 950 tons of dairy and an annual sales revenue of RMB 500 million yuan. Every big milk enterprise needs nearly 10,000 milk cows. Picture shows some 30 self-bred milk cows are "loitering along" in the morning.
