Chinese Insurance Company Donates Money to Flood-Hit Areas
The People's Insurance Company of China (PICC) Friday donated 1 million yuan to flood- ravaged areas in southwest China's
Sichuan
Province.
The money is intended to help the local people resume production and rebuild homes in the area.
Floods have raged in the central and northern parts of Sichuan since mid-September, with 34 cities and counties suffering two billion yuan in economic losses.
At least 25 people died, 22 persons were missing and over 3 million people suffered in other ways because of the floods.
