Maritime Rescue Drill SuccessfulThis maritime rescue drill, sponsored by Chinese PLA navy and Ministry of Communications and held by North-Sea Fleet of Chinese Navy and Shandong Bureau of Maritime Affairs, is staged under a supposed shipwreck, "a freighter damaged after a collision--on fire--oil leakage--some sailors falling into the sear--others stranded". When receiving the SOS signal, the North-Sea Fleet of Chinese Navy and Shandong Bureau of Maritime Affairs immediately started up the combined rescue commanding system, teamed up eight groups of army, navy and air forces for the rescue.
