Holyfield-Ruiz WBA Heavyweight Title to Be Held in November

The delayed WBA heavyweight title fight between challenger Evander Holyfield and reigning champion John Ruiz will be held "at any cost" in November 25, the organisers said Wednesday in Beijing.

So long as the boxers' legs are not broken, nothing can stop us this time. We are ready to pay any price to hold this match," said Niu Lixin, President of China's Changcheng International Sports Promotion Company. Ltd, the chief organiser.

"We have had a bloody lesson to learn, on the basis of which we are determined to hold this match on November 25," he said.

The fight was originally scheduled to be held here on August 5. But on July 27 it was announced to be put off due to an injury sustained by Ruiz.

But according to an insider of the Changcheng company, the main reason of the postponement lay in the lack of money to hold this match, which allegedly will cost a total of 25 million US dollars.
