No Joint Pak-US Military Action Against Afghanistan: Spokesman

Spokesman for Pakistan's Foreign Office Riaz Muhammad Khan on Wednesday denied the recent press reports suggesting joint military actions by Islamabad and Washington.

Answering a question at a press conference here, Riaz called them "speculative reports", saying "there is no joint action or specific operation which has been placed before the Pakistani government."

"Pakistan can not join any hostile actions against Afghanistan and the Afghan people", he said.

To another question on possible influx of fresh Afghan refugees, the spokesman said the Pak-Afghan border will remain closed but open to the UN aid agencies, especially to the World Food Program.
