Senior CPC Official Meets South African Guest

Li Tieying, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Wednesday with Blade Nzimande, secretary- general of the South African Communist Party (SACP).

Li said that the CPC has attached great importance to its relations with the SACP, and is keen to maintain frequent contacts with the party, as well as promote the friendship between China and South Africa and their peoples.

Nzimande said that the SACP has observed China's reforms and opening-up drive closely, and learned from China's experience. He noted that the SACP would like to further develop mutual understanding and cooperation with the CPC.

Nzimande is visiting China at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
