Chinese Kidnapped in Yemen

A Chinese named Ma Weidong, a working personnel for the office of China Road & Bridge Corp, was kidnapped by a group of unidentified armed gang on September 23, in Sanaa, capital of Yemen.

Ma was kidnapped when taking a walk nearby his office in the southern part of Sanaa around seven o'clock, local time, according to staff member of the said office.

Aged 35, Ma was sent to Sanaa on August 5 this year as an accountant.

Now Chinese embassy to Yemen is talking with relevant Yemeni officials for help and intervention to ensure safe return of the kidnapped Chinese employee.
