Osama bin Laden's Followers Reportedly Entered Batam, IndonesiaA number of people, most of whom are followers of Osama bin Laden, were reported to have entered Batam Island, Indonesia, after they earlier made a series of meetings with counterparts from some Asian countries.But there has been no official statement from the authorities on the report, according to the Antara News Agency Wednesday. Antara quoted Muhammad S., a Muslim activists who is currently living in Malang in Indonesia's East Java province, as saying that he joined the activities of Muslim fundamentalist movement. He said it would be not easy for the United States to destroy Osama's forces. Osama's fighters are well-experienced in desert warfare and have established a large working networks with many countries. "They usually meet for a dialogue in Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand. Most of them are militant fighters who are determined to defend Islamic laws in their life," Muhammad S. said. The U.S. government said Osama bin Laden had involved in the recent terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.
