FIFA Gives Training to Cambodia's Soccer Referees
World soccer ruling body FIFA held a training class for
Cambodia
's referees this week, local newspapers reported Wednesday.
Only three Cambodian referees are qualified to judge in international events.
"The training for us is aiming to extend the sport to all parts of Cambodia so as to develop soccer game in the country and try to take the lead in Southeast Asia," said Khek Ravy, chairman of the Cambodian Football Association.
Thirty soccer players were selected to attend the class.
