Pakistan Withdraws Diplomatic Staff in Kabul

Spokesman for Pakistan's Foreign Office Riaz Muhammad Khan said on Monday that Pakistan has withdrawn all it's diplomatic staff in Kabul.

"Now we don't have any representative in Kabul and other cities in Afghanistan in view of the abnormal situation. They are all in Pakistan," he said in a press conference here, adding that the Afghan Chief Representative to Pakistan remains in his place in Islamabad.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are the only two countries that still recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Saturday declared cutting its diplomatic ties with the Afghan ruling Taliban regime.
