More Ancient Tombs Discovered in East China

Archeologists have discovered a large group of ancient tombs in east China's Anhui Province.

Located in the suburbs of Liu'an City, the tombs date back to different historical periods, ranging from the Spring and Autumn Period (770 B.C.- 476 B.C.) to the Song Dynasty ( 960 A.D.- 1279 A. D.).

Over 200 ancient tombs have been discovered here so far, and more are expected to be found in the area, according to the archeologists.

Some of the tombs have already been excavated, yielding bronze ware, pottery and lacquerware, most of which are believed to have been manufactured during the Warring States Period (475 B.C -221 B. C.).
