Wuhan Hosts Int'l Machinery, Electronic Products Fair

Wuhan Hosts Int'l Machinery, Electronic Products Fair
An international machinery and electronic products fair opened Sunday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

According to local sources, the second China Wuhan International Machinery and Electronic Products Fair (CWIMEPF) has an exhibition floor space of 32,000 square meters, including 1,500 indoor business booths occupied by 820 enterprises from 27 countries and regions worldwide.

Commodities on display include general-purpose machines, automobile parts, domestic appliances, and electronic and communications equipment. Seminars and trade talks will also be held to promote exchanges and negotiations on new technologies, new products and overseas investment.

The fair organizers predict that the four-day fair will attract a total of 60,000 participants.

Wuhan, the largest comprehensive industrial base in central China and with a population of 7.6 million, has developed machinery as one of its four pillar industries in recent years.
