Facts & Figures: China's Trade With APEC, EU, ASEAN

Following are the latest figures about China's trade with APEC, EU and ASEAN members from January to July, 2001, provided by the General Administration of Customs:

-- China's trade with members of the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC): total, 208.653 billion US dollars, up 9.0 percent year-on-year; Exports, 106.486 billion US dollars, up 7. 2 percent; Imports, 102.167 billion US dollars, up 10.9 percent.

-- China's trade with members of the European Union (EU): total, 43.288 billion US dollars, up 14.2 percent; Exports, 23.201 billion US dollars, up 8.8 percent; Imports, 20.087 billion US dollars up 21.1 percent.

-- China's trade with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN): total, 23.330 billion US dollars, up 10.5 percent; Exports, 10.179 billion US dollars, up 7.9 percent; Imports, 13.150 billion US dollars, up 12.6 percent.
