Facts & Figures: China's Trade With North America

Following are the latest figures about China's trade with North American partners from January to July, 2001, provided by the General Administration of Customs:

-- The United States: total, 44.830 billion US dollars, up 10. 2 percent year-on-year; Exports, 29.915 billion US dollars, up 5. 9 percent; Imports, 14.915 billion US dollars, up 19.9 percent.

-- Canada: total, 4.247 billion US dollars, up 4.6 percent; Exports, 1.923 billion US dollars, up 7.3 percent; Imports, 2. 324 billion US dollars, up 2.4 percent.
