Second China Food Festival Scheduled for November

The Second China Food Festival will be held on November 1-6 in Hangzhou, capital of the coastal Zhejiang Province, east China, said organizers Friday in Hangzhou.

The festival, which aims to promote Chinese cuisine and healthy food, will be a grand collection of traditional Chinese dishes and dim sums from all over the country.

China General Chamber of Commerce and the Hangzhou Municipal Government will host the festival, which will include food and beverage seminars, cooking contests and an international food exposition.

The First China Food Festival, held here in November, 2000, attracted over 2,000 food and beverage professionals from the Chinese mainland as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States.
