World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention Ends
The 6th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention came to an end in Nanjing on Wednesday. Almost 5, 000 Chinese businessmen from around the world attended the three- day meeting.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin sent a congratulatory letter to the convention, while Premier Zhu Rongji made a speech. Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended and addressed the opening session. Vice-Premier Qian Qichen was also present.

At Wednesday's closing session, Jing Shuping, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, and chairman of the organization committee, hailed the success of the meeting, saying that globalization has been a common aspiration for Chinese businesspeople worldwide and the convention has become a non- government forum for promoting world peace.

The secretariat of the convention announced that the 7th convention will be held in Malaysia.
